TOWER OF DARKNESS

Darkseid's Tower of Darkness was solicited to buyers at the 1986 Toy Fair along with the Third Wave of figures. As is sometimes the case, the attention in the line was waning and the price point of such a large playset was too high, leaving not enough buyers to warrant production.

An excellent piece, the Tower of Darkness featured a rock throne, "Omega Eyes", rotating cannons, front gate/prison cell, and trap door. The Tower was featured in both the tie-in comic books and the animated series. It is a shame that it was not made as it would have been a wonderful companion set to the Hall of Justice.

This piece was one of the few made for display at Toy fair 1986, and was the property of David Reeves.

These pictures and many others are featured along with the full story on the origins of the Super Power Collection in issue #8 of the great Tomart Action Figure Digest. Click on the picture to order this back issue from Tomart.
